You and your spouse haven’t agreed on anything. If one of you wants English country and the other wants ultra-modern, we’re not ready to start picking wallpaper. We need to be on the same page first.4. It feels like I’m competing for your business. Interview as many designers as you want—I actually encourage it! But if every conversation is about who can do it cheaper, I’m probably not your girl. I want clients who hire me because they trust my eye, not because I gave the lowest quote.5. You’re already overwhelmed before demo has even started.
