St. Bart's Travel Guide

St. Barts is hands down my favorite place I have ever been! It is the France of the Caribbean. I may like it more than France. St. Barts is more private, has prettier beaches and is so easy to get to!

Shopping Day!

A short 3.5-hour plane ride from Atlanta to St. Martin, followed by a fun puddle jumper plane ride- you arrive in paradise. We were then greeted by 16 friends to celebrate my 40th Birthday!

We opted to rent a Villa through Wimco-highly recommend it! Our Villa was named, “The One” was three bedrooms. You can rent just the two bedrooms and close the third off, which was perfect. The customer service provided by Wimco during our whole trip was top-notch. We had an on-call concierge the entire time. He handled every detail from restaurant reservations to any recommendation you may need. They were on top of it!

We also rented moke (pronounced moke-eee) from Cool Rentals, I highly recommend them. The roads there are super hilly and windy so being low to the ground helps. Hugh loved driving us around in this little go-cart-style car. I requested the pink color of course! The moke honestly made our trip, and the experience more fun since you drive everywhere on the island.

I've received a lot of questions about my trip and places to go on St. Barts. After catching up on some much-needed sleep. I have finally put together a list of my recommendations. Everywhere we went was amazing - these were some spots that stood out!

Restaurants and To Do:

Eden Rock

The most beautiful hotel and perfect place for my birthday lunch. The food and cocktails were incredible. There is a floating dock in the water you can swim to and relax, take photos, and enjoy drinks on. The water is crystal clear and at an ideal temperature. I found an adorable shop inside the hotel with cute swimsuits and cover-ups. We popped into it after lunch for a bit!

Le Ti

Such a fun spot for any celebration. This is where we went the evening of my Birthday and had a, “White party”. There is a very French cabaret show that happens during dinner that is very entertaining. The restaurant, “Stylist” then took all the ladies back after dinner and we played dress up in the costume closet. We had so much fun and danced the night away!

Stella

An amazing restaurant that’s newer to the island and serves Israeli food. It was wonderful! So fresh and delicious. One of my favorite meals we had on the trip. We sat at the Chefs counter, which was a blast with our group seeing everything get prepared.

Tamarin

Such a gorgeous restaurant! There are palm trees everywhere lit up surrounding you in this stunning tropical oasis. The food is outstanding. Just such a beautiful ambiance overall.

Le Petite Plage

One of my favorite dinners and overall experiences on the trip. The restaurant it self is lovely with these beautiful pink flowers hanging from the ceiling and white sand on the floor in-between your toes. The food was primarily seafood and so fresh. Around 11 PM all the lighting gets pulled up as the dancing begins. They love to dance on tables in St. Barts. Since it was my 40th Birthday- I said why not!

Shopping in Gustavia

The most amazing few blocks of shops; Dior, Prada, Dolce, and more- any girl who loves to shop dreams of this! It’s all there and each shops design was even more special than what was in them. I was Oohing and aahing over the materials used in the stores. So much inspiration for design projects to come.

Catamaran Cruise

We cruised over to Columbier Beach and snorkeled with the sea turtles. It was exquisite. The water is crystal clear and the perfect temperature. They served lunch and drinks on the boat. A wonderful way to see St. Barts. We had the best time!

Nikki Beach

The Sunday Funday spot! Everyone on the island was there on Sunday. It is quite the party and a lot of fun! There is a DJ and tons of dancing happening. They also had the best sushi and another charming little beach shop with an array of swimsuits and cover-ups. We had a blast here!

La Toiney

A gorgeous hotel on the very end of the island. You’re greeted by the main house, way up on a cliff overlooking the sea. They then take you down via a Land Rover Defender to the beach club and restaurant. It’s really cool riding down to the beach on the windy roads. We had a terrific lunch right on the beach. The restaurant owners are a sweet British couple. We enjoyed fish and chips- it was delightful!

L’Isola

My favorite meal of the trip! It was Italian- the ambiance and food were to die for. I had Pasta with caviar. One of the most decadent meals I‘ve ever experienced. It was the perfect way to end our dream vacation.

Cheval Blanc

Another stunning hotel on the island! It's on Flamands Beach which is more like a swimming pool. Everyone relaxes in the water with a cocktail in hand. This hotel is probably my favorite place of all. Their signature color is this pretty blush pink. It was sprinkled everywhere, from their pool towels and beach huts, to the little fans they gave you at lunch. I just adored these details. Plus, the food was fantastic! My favorite place to go for lunch and get a beach chair after.

St. Barts is a magical place-I could not say enough wonderful things about it. We will be back! Hopefully, every year :)

xx, Megan
